The Parents’ Choice Awards is a prestigious award given by Parents’ Choice Foundation, a nonprofit group, to children’s products. According to the group, these awards are presented with the intent to recognize the very best products for children of different ages and backgrounds, and of varied skill and interest levels. A panel, which consists of people from varied backgrounds and different walks of life – educators, scientists, artists, librarians, parents, and kids – determines these awards. The awards, which the foundation has been giving out since 1978, are categorized into: audio, books, DVD, magazines, computer software, television, toys, and video games.
