Trend Micro has launched its line of real-time threat management network appliances to examine network traffic for incoming malware and outgoing botnet activities. And one such tool is Dynamic Threat Analysis System (DTAS) that, with the help of sandbox and other advanced methods, will provide complete protection against suspected malware. DTAS provides complete identification, exploration, simulation, and complete forensic analysis of the detected malware.
DSAT automates security scanning, helping IT managers and security-conscious companies to quickly address malware outbreaks. It will not only provide a complete insight into the type of malware, but will also provide remedies to fix the issue.
In an e-mail interview Richard Stiennon, chief research analyst for IT-Harvest, a security industry analyst firm, said “IT analysts are often frustrated by lack of responsiveness from their AV vendors when they submit new malware samples.”
He further said that Dynamic Threat Analysis System will help organizations to understand the severity and intent of malware infections.
Dan Glessner, vice president of enterprise marketing at Trend Micro, said that their goal is to provide visibility and monitoring tools to the organizations, so that they can detect advanced persistent threats before hackers successfully steal sensitive information.
