Recently, you must have read or heard about incidents where spyware or a group of hackers managed to break into certain bank accounts of individuals and corporate firms, as well as the restricted sites of secret agencies. This time the news is from Singapore, where the ‘Association of Banks in Singapore’ (ABS) recently issued a warning about a spyware, which is apparently getting infamous for infecting computers and networks first with malicious codes and then stealing online banking passwords of the users.
Association of Banks in Singapore, which is a nonprofit industry body, told that few cases have already been reported where SpyEye, the spyware behind the news, has infected the computer of some online banking users. However, no further details and figures were disclosed by ABS regarding the number of users in Singapore who have got affected by this spyware and the total amount of losses suffered by these users. Even the banks have opted to remain silent on this matter.

SpyEye is indeed a very harmful infection and various online security companies have already come up with advanced security mechanisms in their security products to fight against it. Some other security companies are close to provide a solution for the same. This spyware infects the Internet browsers and then alters the webpages. It becomes easy for the spyware to then steal the important personal information of the user, such as login IDs, passwords, credit card info, and other such important data related to online banking.
So, if you want to keep yourself safe from such online threats, it is highly recommended to install a very good and effective security solution on your personal computer.
