A Spanish company known as Spamina that specializes in cloud email security is teaming up with Commtouch, a messaging security solutions provider. The integration will take effect in the next upgrade released by Spamina (sometime in September) and is aimed at further strengthening its product, i.e. a Cloud Email Firewall.
Spamina believes that this addition will improve the level of protection offered as most of their clients are either enterprises or services providers. EVP of Global Sales and Marketing, Spamina, said that their technical team evaluated several options and came to the conclusion that the messaging security suite offered by Commtouch will help reduce false alerts and improve overall spam filtering.
Recurrent Pattern Detection, also known as RPD is a patented technology by Commtouch. Its intelligent engine allows it to protect the user against spam in any corner of the world due to its ability to recognize fishy emails in any format and any language.
VP of International Sales and Business Development at Commtouch, Ofer Tal, was quoted saying, “We are pleased to work with Spamina, a global cloud security provider and leader in the Spanish and Latin American markets.” He went on to say, “Commtouch’s real-time protection and accurate identification of spam, malware and phishing email messages, regardless of their language, content, or origin, will benefit Spamina’s customers and help Spamina increase its leadership role as it expands its presence in Europe, the Middle East and Africa”.
So, it looks like they’ll live happily ever after.
