The menace of online threats and other online threats is getting spread like never before. News about these threats has lot more to say about the way online threats are streaming users’ computers and laptops. No wonder, these threats have not even spared the search-engine-giant Google.
Hackers have found a new way to infect user computers and subsequently send traffic to Google through a small number of intermediary servers called ‘Proxies’. However, don’t feel that the escapade ends here. There is more in the store. The infection bogs down the system to compromise on private and confidential information of users such as passwords, financial details, credit card nos. etc. These infections are caused by malware which is injected into the software that users download online.
However, Google too has come down heavily on malware. As soon as Google gets an ‘unusual traffic’ from any user, it sends the user an alert saying that the system may be infected. The user can then scan his computer with a powerful antivirus software application to remove the malware from his system.
Google has always been on the alert as far as online threats are concerned. This is not the only instance of Google helping its users to fight malware and other online threats. Google has implemented advanced security features for its web browser – Google Chrome for alerting users whenever they are visiting any malicious website.
Users should cooperate with Google to fight against online threats. They should not be under the misconception that the malware is not going to harm them as it is sending ‘unusual traffic’ to Google. Rather, they should consider it as a means to find out that their computer has been infected, as Google sends them the alerts. After all, if malware in residing in their system, it is definitely going to intercept every detail of the system, as well.
