All this is because there is a rapid increase in the cyber threats and thus, we need protection and even need to stay informed with the latest news and threats.
As per Schneier, it is essential to set some ground rules for the cyber war. Similar to the normal war, cyber war must also include a doctrine.
For instance, in ancient times when the kings of two states used to fight, they used to follow certain rules and regulations. This is what Bruce Schneier is expecting that cyber war should be fought on some ground rules, which each party should follow. Otherwise, what will happen is that everyone will start fighting according to his or her needs and requirements.
And we will be able to see the impact on various protocols and networks that we use. Thus, if we want to maintain the performance of networks then we need to think of the doctrine for cyber war. In addition to the treaties, Bruce Schneier suggests that countries should develop certain rules of engagement in cyberspace.
Bruce also shares that there is a financial profit and thus, a lot of US companies are making good money out of cyber war contracts. So, we need to plan out something before we get into some trouble.
In short, people should stop feeding their own fears about cyber war and should start thinking about the Cyber war Treaty.
