Once you’ve installed the app on your Android phone, you can carry out its complete scan. Although a basic scan is enabled, it is not sufficient. Therefore, it is necessary for you to personalize the scan settings. In case you are not getting the time to scan the entire phone, then you can allow on-access scan to run in the background. In this way, you will be able to stop viruses and worms.

While running the scan, your phone might utilize extra resources. After loading the app for the first time, it will prompt you to register your simcard as ‘trusted’. Subsequently, make sure you mark an alternative number on your device so that a text message can be sent in case the phone is lost.

At times, you might get phone calls, text messages and multimedia messages from unknown numbers. To get rid of this problem, ESET Mobile Security offers Antispam feature. With Antispam, you can block all those numbers.

To add to this, you can also create a blacklist and a whitelist for all those blocked numbers. Additionally, with the remote locking feature you can instantly reject those users who are trying to access your smartphone. For instance, if you are unable to trace your lost phone then use the GPS feature to block the device. It is entirely possible to delete the entire data with a single message. The app also has the ability to assign a password on the screen.
