ESET, considered as one of the most secure and effective security program has once again received the VB100 award. Virus Bulletin has been continuously conducting security tests with various antivirus applications and that too on different parameters. In recent tests, ESET crushed all the other contenders and showed some incredible results. And the testing group announced that ESET deserves the 71st VB100 award for 2012. ESET NOD32 Antivirus has managed to maintain the top place for quite some time and has become the only security program of having maximum number of VB100 awards as compared with other antivirus programs. Around 54 products were tested on the 32-bit version of Windows 7 Professional edition. Out of which, only 33 passed and remaining 21 failed the tests.
In one of the posts, Virus Bulletin commented:

Set-up was straightforward and fairly quick, and online updates were fast and easy too, with most installs completing in under five minutes. The GUI is very slick and attractive – a little more angular than expected, but still pleasant to look at and easy to use, with some improvements to the layout making the in-depth configuration easier to work with.”
Although the testing process did not take much time, there was a single pause which for a time delayed the process.
