Recently, hackers sent out spammed e-mails on the Internet, which contained a very dangerous virus. In case you have received an e-mail claiming to be from Intuit Supplies Group, don’t open it. It may have an attached file infected with a virus called- Trojan horse.

Intuit is a renowned software company based in California and it develops software related to financial services. Of course the e-mail was not sent by Intuit, it was the work of some online hackers using the name of the company to attract gullible Internet users.
If you have received the e-mail and have already opened it, you might be at risk. But if you have not opened the attached file that came along with it, you are safe. According to sources, the 196,096 bytes attachment had a malicious Trojan horse file called ‘Intuit Online Payroll Free Trial Detailed information.exe’. When users clicked that file, their accounts were infected.
Sophos, a company that develops security software and hardware is said to be taking a serious look in to the matter. The company has also informed that it is updating its security products so that this file containing Trojan horse is detected.
You must be very careful before opening any of your e-mails from your inbox. Spammers know that users get easily attracted to messages containing exciting offers from companies. Taking advantage of that, they send out e-mails pretending to be from a renowned company and when users open their file, their accounts get infected by virus.
