These days cyber crime is increasing rapidly. Of late, hacking incidents seem to have alarmingly increased. The latest victim is Adidas . Few days back, security on the company’s website was violated. Because of this reason, Adidas has taken its website under security control. Till now, adidas.com, reebok.com, miCoach.com, and adidas-group.com have been found affected. All these sites are under security control in order to safeguard people who might visit them.
Although these websites are going through a forensic review, no reason has yet been found as to why this attack happened. One of the security representatives at G Data says “these hackers want to show their powers to the world. And in some cases it’s not about money or data theft, instead the attackers want to attract attention and gain fame.”
Till date no user has been found affected by this cyber attack; but Adidas has taken various security measures to avert any such incident in the future. Moreover, the recovery speed of the company’s website is superb as only the website was hacked, not the database.
