Step 1

Open ‘AVG’ -> ‘Menu Tools’ -> ‘Firewall settings.’

Expand ‘Profiles’ -> ‘Your profile’ -> ‘System services.’

Allow rules ‘GRE protocol’ and ‘PPTP VPN.’ Save ‘Firewall’ settings and verify whether it is feasible to link to the ‘VPN’ server.

Step 4

If the connection is blocked, block rules ‘GRE protocol’ and ‘PPTP VPN’ and allow all rules for ‘ESP protocol’ and ‘L2TP VPN.’ Save ‘Firewall’ settings and confirm whether it is probable to connect to the ‘VPN’ server.
